I speak to many clients who feel let down in their relationships or feel that many people take advantage of them. Just remember to set your boundaries. You are teaching other people how to treat you. Once you set boundaries you may find that some people walk away because you are no longer a 'pushover' or that you don't comply with their many unreasonable requests. You don't need those kind or people in your life. Just retain the people in your life who bring out the best in you and accept yo for who you are... It's called "respect". If you don't value yourself nobody else will...
